According to DeFiSquared, the project’s structure seems to benefit the team behind it rather than advancing the goal of universal basic income as initially claimed.

In a recent press release, the Worldcoin Foundation revealed that over 211 million WLD tokens have been claimed by World ID holders, representing more than 77% of the 275 million WLD in circulation. However, the distribution of these tokens has raised concerns about the project's long-term sustainability and fairness.
