Faucet

A faucet is a website that offers small amounts of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies in exchange for completing simple tasks such as viewing ads, playing games, or solving CAPTCHAs.

Typically, faucets have a timer to prevent excessive claims, but they allow enough time to accumulate between 2 to 24 (10,000 to 100,000 in 2016) satoshis per day, especially if you use more than one faucet, which is recommended. While faucets won't make you rich, the increasing value of these cryptocurrencies may allow you to accumulate enough for a purchase in the future or simply wait for the value to rise even more.

To use a faucet, you'll need at least the wallet address of the cryptocurrency you are collecting. Many faucets may also require you to fill out a registration form, but the key requirement is definitely the wallet address. If you don't have one, it’s advisable to get a wallet to have your own address.

There are thousands of faucets, some better than others, with some being fraudulent or inactive due to running out of satoshis to distribute. However, there are still many legitimate and interesting faucets available.

To visit faucet websites, simply select the faucet you're interested in from the navigation bar.
