Among the top 50 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, SHIB leads the pack in daily gains, with Filecoin following at a distant 10% increase.
Other tokens in the meme coin space saw more subdued growth. For example, Bonk (BONK) and Dogwifhat (WIF) rose by just 1% over the same period, while Floki (FLOKI) recorded a more notable 6% increase.
Dogecoin (DOGE), the original dog-themed cryptocurrency, continues to hold its position in the market with steady growth. DOGE is trading above $0.42, up 1.3% on the day, nearing its weekly peak. Despite a more modest increase compared to SHIB, DOGE remains up 161% over the past month, showcasing its resilience and strong community support.
Meanwhile, Brett (BRETT), a rapidly rising meme coin built on Ethereum’s Base layer-2 network, reached a record-breaking $0.2032 on Saturday. The token has gained 17% over the past 24 hours, solidifying its position as a top contender in the meme coin ecosystem.
These market movements highlight the dynamic nature of the cryptocurrency sector, with meme-inspired tokens continuing to captivate both investors and enthusiasts.
